The collection was founded in 2005 by the decision of the Academic Council of the Institute for Meat and Dairy Industry. It is published once a year. The collection is included in the "List of scientific publications for publishing the results of dissertation research" approved by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus. Since 2016 it has been available on the platform of the Scientific Electronic Library eLIBRARY.RU (RSCI). In 2020 the ten-year Hirsch index was 2, and the authors' average Hirsch index was 3.1.
